To start Don’t Stop Mining, stand on your pad, let your pickaxes mine ore, sell at the hub, and use the proceeds to improve your setup. Learn that cycle first, then explore pets, relics, and rebirths as they become available.

This is a beginner’s guide from the game’s creator, A Lovely Light. It explains the systems in the official Roblox description, checked on 3 November 2026. It is not a measured fastest-progression route.

How do you start mining?

Open Don’t Stop Mining on Roblox and follow the in-game introduction. Your pad is the center of your operation: while you stand there, floating pickaxes mine ore inside your ring automatically.

The official description names stone, coal, copper, silver, gold, emerald, ruby, sapphire, diamond, and further ores. Treat those as progression to discover rather than a shopping list to complete immediately. Your first goal is simply to recognize what your current pickaxes can mine and where you sell the result.

What should you do with the ore?

Sell ore at the hub, then return to the upgrade choices. Bigger pickaxes and other upgrades develop your operation so you can work toward the next ore.

A useful first-session checklist is:

  1. Find your pad and watch the automatic mining begin.
  2. Locate the hub and sell your ore.
  3. Read the available upgrade descriptions and their costs.
  4. Buy an upgrade you can afford, return to the pad, and observe what changed.

That checklist is our suggested way to learn the loop. There is no universal purchase order here: the guide does not calculate upgrade payback times or assume that the most expensive option is always the right next purchase.

How do pets and merging work?

Magic eggs appear while you mine. Hatch them to obtain pets that help mine your pad. The current official description says you can merge three into a stronger pet and that pets have their own beds.

Before confirming a merge, read the in-game screen so you know which pets it accepts and what you will receive. Learning what your current crew does is more useful than assuming a larger collection always produces a better result.

If pets are the feature that brought you here, start with the game overview and FAQs for the core loop. The mining game shortlist explains other play styles if you prefer exploring underground or digging for treasure.

What are relics and rebirths for?

Relics provide permanent bonuses and appear as trophies on your island. The official description currently lists 33 relics to find. They give you a collection goal alongside improving your mining setup.

Rebirth is a separate progression system. The current listing describes an additional 50% money and damage each time, a new ore per rebirth, and permanent upgrades. When you reach that decision, read the confirmation in the game for its requirements and exactly what will reset or remain.

The listing establishes the advertised benefits; it does not give this guide enough information to calculate the best rebirth timing for every player.

Can you leave the game mining automatically?

Automatic mining describes how the pickaxes work. The official listing also mentions pets mining while you are away and an AFK lounge where you keep earning. Those are useful features to look for in a running session.

Check the current in-game instructions before assuming that closing Roblox produces the same result. This guide does not promise an offline earnings rate or suggest tools to keep a session connected.

For your first visit, focus on completing the mine, sell, and upgrade cycle once. Then choose the next system you want to understand: a pet, a relic, or the requirements for another ore.
